Kalaneuvos Oy chose Hivacon vacuum systems! The fish processing factory of Kalaneuvos in Sastamala, Finland expanded its operations, and more than doubled the production facilities. The extension is the largest in the history of Kalaneuvos.

With this extension, also the fish smoking capacity of the factory doubled to over 35 000 kilos per day. Kalaneuvos Oy is the largest fish smoker in the Nordic Countries, and now able to smoke more than eight million kilos of fish a year. Furthermore, the fish filleting capacity of the factory increased to over 12 million kilos a year.

According to the increased production capacity, also the amount of by-products increased significantly. This challenge was solved with the help of two Hivacon vacuum conveying systems installed in the fish processing factory.
